In general, it is smart move by the fish to hide in an empty shell when threatened by hungry dolphin. However, this tactic does not work for most fish that live in the Bay Shark Bay, Western Australia.
There's a group of dolphins have learned to push the shells in the water, forcing fish to 'heroic' expense. The behavior of these dolphins observed Swiss and Australian scientists, who say impressed.
Dolphins put the muzzle to the opening of the shell, barring the exit of the fish. Then, reaching the surface, shake the shell until the fish to fall out when it becomes an easy prey. Never before had seen such behavior from dolphins.
