This computer has an IQ of 150 and is smarter than 96% of people. This is a computer program that was ranked in the category of "genius" for its performance.
Note that the average IQ of people is around 100, software programs, such as «Mathematica», usually get lower scores on such tests.

The new artificial intelligence software, designed by researchers led by Claes Stranegkarnt the department of philosophy, linguistics and theory of science of the Swedish University of Gothenburg.

To get a high score software program is not fast enough to perform calculations by a huge volume of data, but should show a human-type intelligence, which is much more difficult for a machine as fast they are. The new program, but has managed to really think like a man, using the standards of human thought.

The common IQ tests are usually based on two different kind of tests: visual (reading patterns in images) and numerical (eg provision of an empty sequence of numbers), but, apart from the mathematical dimension, have a psychological dimension .

The new software has achieved better results because it has managed to combine mathematics and psychology, which allows him to make better estimates. It can thus be more accurately distinguish a pattern, whether it involves a series of numbers or a range of other data containing the psychological dimension, such as financial data.

Of course the brilliant program is not as effective when the data have nothing to do with human psychology, such as the weather forecast. The researchers have already begun to cooperate with the Department of Psychology, Stockholm University to develop new intelligence tests with different degrees of difficulty.
