Intel has released a promotional video for upcoming processors Atom E6xx, stating clearly that the new models will inherently support the Android operating system from Google.
We have seen in the past Atom systems running in an environment of Android, but this is the result of the actions of third parties developers. In this case, however, talk about official support for Intel, which means that manufacturers will be able to compose Atom-Android tablets without problems.
The timing of Intel says that the first phase will support the Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) in 2012. We do not know yet whether support will be on other models and Atom.
Support Android is about the only way for Intel, if it wants to survive in the market for tablets. The operating of Google is the absolute leader in tablets beyond the iPad and everything suggests that it will continue to be a major force in tablets.
