The Nielsen Company conducts several months ago a survey in the U.S., wanting to shed light on the profile of owners of portable devices. The data for the second quarter of 2011 show that men prefer women tablets and the e-readers.
The rates, however, is not overwhelming in any way. Men constitute 57% of the keepers tablets and women 61% of the owners e-readers.
The most interesting finding is that compared to 2010 show that Americans now prefer the more e-readers (the figure a few months ago was 46%). As for smartphones, where things are completely divided, with both sexes being represented equally.
The Nielsen survey sheds light on age. The most important finding is that the tablets are starting to win all age groups and not just young people.
