Google Wallet service makes its debut this week in the United States, giving the public the option to make transactions via smartphone. The possibilities are very limited at first, but this will change in the coming months.
Currently, the Wallet works only in the U.S., only Sprint's network and only the Samsung Nexus S. Also, only for some of the cards issued by Citibank. Soon expected expansion on all fronts, with several mobile operators, most cards / banks and more capable devices NFC (Near Field Communications). When you see the Wallet in countries outside the U.S. remains unknown.
The use of Google Wallet presupposes the existence of a smartphone and a compatible receiver to the point of sale. The two devices communicate using NFC, and the amount deducted from your credit / debit card registered holder of the smartphone.
